Mary Krason Wiker, Voice

Mary Krason Wiker holds a bachelor’s in music from Franciscan University of Steubenville, where she studied under Alanna Keenan, and a master’s in vocal performance from Cleveland State University, where she studied under Elizabeth Unis Chesko. Mary is currently a member of the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and has contributed as a soloist in the Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and greater Tri-State area. As a church musician, she has sung for services and events in the Steubenville, Pittsburgh, Lexington/Richmond, and Cleveland Dioceses.

Mary enjoys sharing the challenges and joys of studying music with her students. She teaches a variety of styles, including classical, musical theatre, and popular. Her approach to teaching is to help students discover their unique, natural voice in a healthy and supportive way through the practice of solid vocal technique. Mary is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and has prepared students for Ohio Music Education Association competitions and evaluations, where her students have received Superior ratings. She has prepared students for auditions for the Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Chorus and Cleveland Youth Chorus, as well as many auditions for a variety of school performances, shows, and choral solos. Mary enjoys working with students of all levels and from all walks of life.
