Samantha Loomis received her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance at Ohio Northern University and her master’s in vocal pedagogy from the University of Southern Maine where she studied under internationally-acclaimed opera singer Dr. Malinda Haslett. She has studied and performed classical, musical theatre, and jazz. Samantha has also augmented her studies in teaching voice as a member of the Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association and the National Association of Teachers of Singing, attending numerous conferences for vocal instructors. In her studies, she has also delved into how to train the voices of children, as these ages require a special type of vocal training to preserve the health of their voices.

Samantha taught voice at the University of Southern Maine as part of its adjunct faculty, as well as at the Gorham School of Music in Maine. Samantha has wide-ranging experience teaching all ages in styles including musical theatre, classical, and pop. For children ages 12 and under, Samantha focuses on developing technique and musicianship through games, movement, and fun exercises aimed toward ear training, diction, release of tension, breath management, and breath support.
