Mary Krason Wiker, Voice
Mary Krason Wiker is a dedicated voice instructor with over ten years of teaching experience. She holds a B.A. in Music from Franciscan University of Steubenville and an M.M. in Vocal Performance from Cleveland State University, where she studied under Alanna Keenan (FUS) and Elizabeth Unis Chesko (CSU). Mary is currently a part-time member of the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and has contributed as a soloist in the Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and greater Tri-State area. As a church musician, she has sung for services and events in the Steubenville, Pittsburgh, Lexington/Richmond, and Cleveland Diocese.
Mary enjoys sharing the challenges and endless joys of studying music with her students. She teaches a variety of styles of singing, including classical, musical theater, and popular music genres. Her approach to teaching is to help students discover their unique, natural voice in a healthy and supportive way through the practice of solid vocal technique. Mary is a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and has prepared students for OMEA competitions and evaluations, where her students have received Superior ratings. She has prepared students for auditions for the Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Chorus and Cleveland Youth Chorus, as well as many auditions for a variety of school performances, shows, and choral solos. Mary enjoys working with students of all levels and from all walks of life.
